Quality Policy

Customer service is an essential part of the quality process and to ensure this is fulfilled, all employees receive training to ensure awareness and understanding of quality and its impact on the customer service. To ensure the Company maintains its awareness for continuous improvement, the quality system is regularly reviewed and is subject to annual independent audit.

It is the policy of the Company to maintain a quality system designed to meet the requirements of EN ISO 9001:2008 in pursuit of its primary objectives.

The Company’s Quality Manual defines our quality objectives and key procedures.

The requirements of the Company’s quality system are mandatory and all Company personnel have a responsibility and obligation to it.

Environmental Policy

Ceravision acknowledges its responsibility to, and the commercial advantages of, maintaining a sound environmental policy and approach which meets the requirements of EN ISO 14001:2004.

We recognise the importance, no matter how small, of the impact of our activities on the environment and that there is a need to constantly consider ways in which we can conserve energy and minimise waste in all activities that we undertake. In addition to compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, we endeavour to take positive action in reducing any impact on the environment by a measured programme of focused activities.

Ceravision's policy is for staff to print copies of documents and E-mail messages only when necessary. Double-sided printing should be used wherever possible.

Waste Management

It is our policy to work with our staff to ensure that all waste is disposed of in line with legal and environmental requirements. It is Ceravision's policy to select waste management contractors who have a target of zero to landfill.

Recycling and use of Recycling Materials

To utilise and promote the use of recycled materials whenever possible, ensuring that materials are disposed of in an environmentally safe manner at the end of their useful life.

Energy Conservation

To manage electricity and water supplies to ensure minimum consumption through energy efficient initiatives. It is our policy to make efficient use of natural light within our buildings and to conserve energy by adopting an ‘only turn on when using' approach to equipment.

Environmental Management Awareness

To raise and maintain a high level of understanding of, and participation in, environmental best practices by staff and suppliers. We appraise projects and contracts we are involved in to ensure they assess environmental risks and comply with our Environmental Policy wherever practicable.


The Environmental Policy is reviewed annually.

Future Applications

Energy efficiency is a global driver within many markets and Ceravision’s core technology has the ability to address these markets. Due to the flexible nature of the technology we are able to facilitate a variety of power levels (400 W to 5 kW) and spectra ranging from visible to UV light.


Ceravision’s High Efficiency Plasma (HEP) light is particularly suited to medium and high power applications. The light is emitted from a very small source, which enables Ceravision to accurately focus and distribute the light. This in turn facilitates significantly greater optical performance.

Ceravision maintains an extensive Intellectual Property (“IP”) portfolio comprising Patents, Trade Marks and Design Rights.

The testing of Ceravision’s High Efficiency Plasma (HEP) lamps in Rothamsted has been underway now for four months. The testing compares Ceravision’s HEP lamps with legacy metal halide lamps and new LED systems and their impact upon the growth of wheat.
